“Teamwork Makes the dream work but a vision becomes a nightmare when the leader has a big dream and a bad team”
The above quote is perhaps the best quote to inspire creativity in your team. We all have a dream and we can only achieve our goal with our team. Such is the competition in the world that it’s a much daunting task to exit alone let alone function in this world.
Our dreams keep us pushing in this sometimes seemingly hopeless world, to do something, be something and leave our mark on the world but making it all about ourself will not get us where we want to. The dream will falter and the idea will be left wanting.
Let’s acknowledge 10 other legendary quotes like Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
It is amazing what can be accomplished when nobody cares about who gets the credit.”– Robert Yates
Everybody want to take credit for their work. It’s human nature. But it’s to the extent you go for the credit to your work. If you care more about the credits than the work then probably you shouldn’t be working because in the end, it;s the work that does all the talking.
If we spend more of our mental energy on completing the task than on worrying about missing on the desired credit, we instantly become more productive.
2. “We Rise by Lifting Others”–Robert Ingersol
Remember, life is not a stock exchange equation that you only win if someone loses. It does not work that way. We are social by nature but our ego and insecurities try to drag us from being a part of a group of humans for a larger purpose.
We can only rise together and we do that by lifting people around us and our teams.
3. “Trust is knowing that when a team member does push you, they’re doing it because they care about the team.”― Patrick Lencioni
This quote tells us to let go of any of our ego and insecurities and embrace the team spirit. Once you are in a team, you have to believe that nobody is going to betray you, try and take your place or all other insecure bullcraps.
You should trust your team and their decisions and if they try to push you, you try and do your best not be a crybaby and complain on petty things.
4. “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championship”–Micheal Jordan
Said by the legend himself, this statement is an obvious one but people fail to realize the role of patience and perseverance. Why do most people have to relish themselves with glimpses of greatness rather than admiring the work we’ve done? The answer is we are not consistent enough.
Remember life is not a 200m race, it’s a marathon and you should focus on the big picture. Winning the championship.
5. Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.(Elizabeth Green)”–Nicholas Sparks, The Lucky One
Happiness does not start from money or love or sex. At best these are the factors that make you less sad. Happiness comes from you. Do not search for it. Value the people around you, share your feeling with them.
If you live in the moment and stop to think about absurd idiocracies about life, you’ll be a lot happier.
6. “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success”– Henry Ford
With three sentences Ford summarizes the whole life cycle of team success. Forming a team is easy because that’s just the beginning. Keeping team together takes a lot of hard work but if you are prepared to do the hard work, you maximize your chances of success.
Ford has said a lot of great stuffs but this has to be the most generic and honest one. The automobile mogul has clearly explained the formula for team success through his life experience.
7. “A boat doesn’t go forward if each one is rowing their own way”—Swahili proverb
This quote is very symbolic. Your team can simply not move forward if you keep on having petty arguments. The decisions of the team should be unanimous at best and democratic at the worst. Just like a boat requires rowers rowing in harmony and sync, a team requires people working together and not nagging on their own affairs.
8. A Group becomes a team when each member is sure enough of himself to praise the skills of others–Norman Shidle
This quote is like the gist of the whole article. Be in a team, feel like a team. Work for a greater cause, leave petty issues away.
Hey Jemma, I think your painting skills need some working but my word you can draw awesome doodles.
If Jemma gets demoralised by the painting remark than get excited by doodling remark, Jemma is cancerous for the team. She can always work on to hone her painting skills but she can also give it a try at doodling. That pretty much sums up a team environment for you. Always take constructive criticism with your head and do not shy away from letting your team members know what they are good at.
9. “I can do things you can not, you can do things I can not, together,we can do great things”-Mother Teresa
This is the epitome of positivity and ‘that’ human feeling.
Hey Jemma, I know you are able to do lots of things. Humble brag: I can do lots of things as well. How about we team up?
I can do things myself. It’s all about me. I am a ego-centric manipulative female.
Jemma is the exact opposite of what a team member should be. You should acknowledge each other’s skills and limitations and find a system which maximizes the strengths and minimizes the faults.
10. “One Person can make a difference and everybody should try”–John F Kennedy
If you do not believe, then there is nothing left in this vile, wretched, selfless world and that’s ‘you’ saying those words, not me.
What’s the deal if you always look at something from corners without actually being involved in it? We’ve got one life and all we have to do is keep on trying until we die. Keep on believing although believing seems like the toughest thing to do.
We have to believe one person can make a difference and there is no reason why that person can not be us.
Remember!! Teamwork makes the dream work so keep up the motivation and change the world by changing yourself first.
